摘要: SUMMARY With past and continued destruction of primary forests worldwide, secondary constitute a large growing component forest cover have been found to be very important for wide range goods services.” There is considerable ambiguity with regard the meaning term “secondary forest” different types it encompasses, despite its widespread usage. This paper reviews existing definitions or perceptions examines three main points contention, i.e., whether nature (human natural) disturbance, intensity vegetation development matters in definition. We then arrive at broad working definition forests, develop typology based on underlying disturbances land use practices that create conditions appearance forest. The are clear objective criteria generalisable across regions, both which should make them widely applicable.
