摘要: Dual process theories account for age-related changes in memory by proposing that old age is associated with deficits recollection together invariance familiarity. The authors evaluated this proposal recognition examining and familiarity estimates young older adults across 3 estimation methods: inclusion/exclusion, remember/know, receiver operating characteristics (ROC). Consistent a previous literature review (Light, Prull, LaVoie, & Healy, 2000), the found when were derived from inclusion/exclusion method, but differences favoring remember/know ROC methods. Recollection lower all had variable relationships frontal- temporal-lobe measures of neuropsychological functioning adults, depending on which method was used to generate estimates. These data suggest although appear be rule aging, not show invariance.
