摘要: The Occupational Therapy department at the University of Witwatersrand in South Africa is responsible for ensuring students achieve psychomotor skill proficiency, as it an essential component health care practice. aim this study was to determine whether introduction opportunities afford self-evaluation better prepared performance during clinical fieldwork. A quantitative analytical longitudinal design used with a sample second-year BSc occupational therapy from 2007–2010. Self-assessment were introduced 2009, enabling comparisons students’ based on Fitts and Posner’s motor skills learning theory. results indicated that pre-intervention group demonstrated poor ability compared intervention group, concluding require deliberate practice their early years study.
