摘要: To compare the astigmatic outcomes of photorefractive keratectomy (PRK) with a wavefront-guided (WFG) and wavefront-optimized (WFO) excimer laser performed on two different platforms. Setting: institutional. Prospective, randomized, fellow eye comparison clinical trial. A total 142 eyes 71 patients myopia 12 diopters (D) or less astigmatism 3D were enrolled at Byers Eye Institute Stanford between April 2009 March 2011. One each patient underwent WFG-PRK VISX CustomVue Star S4 IR (Abbott Medical Optics, Abbott Park, IL) contralateral WFO-PRK Wavelight Allegretto Eye-Q 400-Hz platform (Alcon, Inc., Huenberg, Switzerland). Alpins vector analysis was using manifest refraction measured preoperatively months postoperatively vertexed to corneal plane. Eyes stratified for subgroup based preoperative astigmatism. WFG-PRK similar regarding surgically induced astigmatism, difference vector, magnitude error, correction index, flattening index success. The angle error 60% in WFG group compared WFO (4.9±1.1° vs. 11.8±2.4°, P=0.01). WFG-PRK Alcon WaveLight produce results myopic patients; however, mode may slightly more predictable corrections.
