摘要: Abstract The concept of recirculation diluate/concentrate stream is implemented in multi-stage ion concentration polarization (ICP) desalination to deal with the issue uncontrolled concentrate streams and deteriorated overall recovery rate treat highly concentrated oil produce water from refineries. An improved empirical optimization model was established calculate total energy consumption for operating cost required membrane area capital a given set parameters, feed salinity, salt removal ratio, flow velocity. Using model, techno-economic analysis performed evaluate feasibility two-stage ICP system loops. Brine 160 g/kg as stream, whereas other conditions such dilaute are being controlled/fixed 20 g/kg ~250 g/kg respectively. Also, can be flexibly controlled specific product ratio corresponding cost. With careful choices rates, one significantly increase brine treatment process (from 25% 39%) only minor $16.4–25.9/m3 $20.6–22.54/m3), which favourable waste application.
