摘要: SOME years ago Mulliken (Phys. Rev., 25, 509; 1925) reported a band in calcium hydride (CaH) at λ3533, having very unusual structure. The was photographed low pressure (40 mm. hydrogen) and is composed of single P- R-branches, which are abruptly cut oft P (11½) R (9½). As no more bands appeared corresponding to any higher vibra-tional states the molecule, effect interpreted as manifestation some unstable conditions initial C-state. Indeed, it later supposed that molecule dissociates by pure rotation, Franck Sponer (Gott. Nachrichten, 241; 1928) calculated dissociation energy C-level be about 0.09 volts.
