摘要: Summary The reproductive cycle in Astropecten irregularis is described, making use of a range statistical techniques detailed previously. Analysis gonad weights proved more satisfactory than the indices, as latter are not independent animal size. When examining course oogenesis, standardised residuals an (R × C) contingency table much easier to interpret size/frequency polygons. species has annual with spawning June or July, but gonads small even when animals gravid, and marked males. Proliferation oogonia may apparently occur at any time year, ripe ovary contains many small, previtellogenic oocytes. There magnitude size pyloric caecum, peak December.
