摘要: Stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) utilizes a three dimensional coordinate system to achieve more reproducible patient set-up [1, 2]. With SBRT, the margins for uncertainty can be reduced, allowing greater volume sparing of surrounding normal tissues. Since SBRT yields reduced tissue exposure, has been used increase fractional dose (hypofractionation) in an attempt intensify delivery without incrementally increasing risk damage. This is becoming important approach treating discrete tumors, and yielded impressive local control treated tumors significant toxicity. The benefit improved compared conventional radiation, via target localization intense doles delivery, added Arguably, similar or even outcome over surgical resection. One advantage that limited resection (i.e. one does not wide margins) penumbra around treats microscopic disease [3].
