摘要: Abstract Nd doped TiO 2 nanoparticles were synthesized by sol–gel method exhibiting photocatalytic activity in solar light together with UV irradiation. Photoactivities of the catalysts investigated terms degradation Methyl Orange dye. 1.0% doping appears to be optimum, yielding highest degree degradation. Ag coating on sample is seen further improve performance catalyst. and could ensured through EDAX analysis sample. The morphological investigations samples reveal presence average size ∼8 nm. improvement optical properties was confirmed Diffuse Reflectance UV–Visible (DRUV) Photoluminescence (PL) spectroscopy. decrease PL intensities increase visible absorption peaks DRUV spectra coated implies comparison undoped . Doped exhibited high surface area than which BET analysis.
