摘要: The motivational model stresses that substance misuse occurs in the context of satisfactions and frustrations people derive from incentives other areas their lives. Therefore, it is important to assess users' structure, is, patterns by which they strive for these incentives. This article presents a technique assessing through people's motivation use substances can better be understood. Results studies using assessment suggest following: (a) Unless university students with alcohol-related problems have adaptive structures, are less able control drinking. (b) Alcohol abusers' structure leads them experience life satisfaction than does students' structure. (c) In treatment, abusers more show problem denial change those maladaptive pattern. (d) healthier structures immediate responses treatment long-term outcomes healthy patterns. (e) Systematic Motivational Counseling (SMC) improves reduces use. These results support model.
