Aetiology of mild mental retardation.

摘要: A clinical and family study was carried out in 169 children attending schools for the mildly mentally retarded Southampton to assess prevalence of recognised medical risk factors; 71 (42%) had such factors. These were prenatal 22, perinatal 41, postnatal eight. Risk factors possible, but less certain, significance found a further 63 (37%). In 86 families (51%) there history serious educational problems both parents. The types factor higher whose parents no problems. There were, however, 25 (15%) whom either absent or minimal.
