摘要: Abstract A new method of shape characterization, first presented in connection with carbon black aggregates, is extended to a variety shapes two and three dimensions. This “dynamic” based on the representation an object as ellipsoid equivalent radii gyration about central principal axes. gives types dimensionless factors, anisometry (elongation flatness) bulkiness, well orientation. The factors orientation are good agreement visual appearance objects. bulkiness generally reasonable but validity this factor difficult assess independently. calculated unequivocally from coordinates contour. Rapid, practical methods given for obtaining these dimensions, computer program calculating data flat figures or objects which have been determined successive layers.
