摘要: A FPLC purified 38kDa protease (Bm mf S-7) isolated from B. malayi microfilarial soluble antigen was identified. It showed pronounced reactivity with sera collected 'putatively immune' asymptomatic and amicrofilaraemic individuals residing in an endemic area for bancroftian filariasis. Further the immune protective activity of Bm S-7 evaluated susceptible hosts, jirds (Meriones unguiculatus) against filarial infection. The 89% cytotoxicity 87-89% infective (L3) larvae vitro antibody dependent cellular Assay (ADCC) situ micropore chamber methods. immunized after challenge infection 81.5% reduction adult worm burden. present study has shown that, proteases could stimulate a strong response microfilariae jird model to block transmission Analysis IgG subclasses revealed significant increase IgG2 IgG3 antibodies normals. Lymphocyte proliferation significantly high normal group as compared that clinical carriers. Significantly enhanced levels IFN-gamma culture supernatant PBMC normals followed by stimulation suggest this is skewed towards Th 1 type.
