Optical switching using fiber ring reflectors

摘要: We present the results of studies fiber ring reflectors that are pulse excited in negative dispersion regime. An intensity-dependent switch is proposed for improved thresholding and output characteristics over those previously reported. Schemes switches relying on solitary-wave collision-induced phase shifts also discussed. A regenerator logic gates proposed, each capable correcting timing drifts.
