摘要: Abstract Duplex stainless steels are high strength and corrosion resistant alloys extensively used in chemical petrochemical industries. However, exposition to temperatures the range 300–1000 °C leads precipitation of different phases having a detrimental effect on mechanical properties resistance alloy. In this work, microstructural evolution during aging UNS S32304 lean duplex steel was investigated by scanning electron microscopy, transmission microscopy magnetic force microscopy. Formation secondary austenite as well Cr 2 N 23 C 6 and, consequently, decrease ferrite volume fraction were observed. EDX analysis indicated that is depleted chromium which A variation Eddy current measurement parameters simultaneously detected can be explained content. Therefore, non-destructive testing successfully applied detect formation deleterious aging.
