摘要: Publisher Summary This chapter discusses a study to analyze the action of FMRF-amide and proctolin on Helix, Hirudo, Limulus , Periplaneta neurons. In this study, same electrophysiological techniques were used for recording from central nervous systems four species. Fine glass microelectrodes, filled with molar potassium acetate, intracellular recordings resistance in range 10–40 MΩ. The potentials amplified using conventional methods displayed permanent records pen recorder. A number different neuron types Helix while only Retzius cells leech ganglion. Cells midline dorsal surface thoracic ganglia . Unidentified neurons abdominal ganglionic chain was found have potent long lasting effects threshold responses 1.6 × 10 −8 M higher concentrations, could last more than 45 min.
