摘要: Publisher Summary This chapter presents studies on the influences exerted by somatosensory afferents compensation of labyrinthectomy symptoms. Compensation symptom head turning in horizontal plane is highly dependent afferents. These seem to be mediated through cerebellum. To distinguish effects that are directly fed into vestibular circuits from those relayed cerebellum before reaching system animals with various cerebellar lesions also studied. Fixation positions towards left, right, and midposition during initial 5h after unilateral demonstrated significance neck-proprioceptive for compensation. side intact labyrinth caused an acceleration deviation plane, as seen when restraining was terminated. The about longitudinal body axis present lifting a unilaterally labyrinthectomized animal off ground less pronounced than control animals. Experiments discrete strongest mechanisms ablation posterior vermis. almost strong resulting complete cerebellectomy.
