Knowledge, attitude and nutritional behavior of female high school students about consumption of calcium-rich foods in Khorramshahr City, South West of Iran

摘要: Background: Calcium is the most abundant mineral in human body. This provided only by consumption of foods containing calcium that it recommended to use at least1300 mg daily for adults. study aimed investigate nutritional behavior female high school students about Consumption Calcium-Rich Foods.Materials and MethodsAt a descriptive-analytical study, method sampling was based on multi-stage random clustering 168 were selected from 3 (each 56 students). The data collected research-made questionnaire questions 4 parts including: demographic features, knowledge attitude calcium-rich fourth part included semi-quantitative food frequency table (FFQ) taught subjects correct understanding education evaluated. analyzed SPSS-17.Results: mean age girls participated 16+ 0.738 years. There significant relationship between all variables such as job, monthly income (P<0.05). Foods 28% (poor), 50.6% (moderate) 21.4% (good) respectively; them were: 29.2%(poor), 47.6% 23.3% respectively. Moreover, 57.1% had not consumed enough their regimes. correlation attitudes (P<0.05; r=0.181).Conclusion: current indicated students, improvement students' can be achieved using focused group discussion suitable education. According results this students’ are acceptable.
