摘要: Following a hydrogen–deuterium exchange reaction, size-exclusion chromatography with infrared detection (SEC-IR) was used to measure the distribution of deuterium respect molecular weight on polyethylene resin. The SEC-IR method reveals significant heterogeneity in across weight, including fraction high chains that are nearly or completely unlabeled. Small-angle neutron scattering (SANS) performed labeled polymer and an isotopic blend; random phase approximation model prediction for from n-component blend successfully measured SANS data. Additionally, Monte Carlo algorithm fit data distribution, yielding measurement consistent obtained SEC-IR. methods compared literature approaches describing nonideal labeling. These results demonstrate value detailed information about dis...
