Evidence of Asymmetries and Nonlinearity of Unemployment and Labour Force Participation Rate in Ukraine

摘要: With respect to instability and structural changes for maintaining effective functioning of economy an important issue is study the dynamics processes in labour market, including supply employment. Considering negative demographic trends acute problem population aging Ukraine article presents empirical research force participation unemployment rate, as well correlation relationship between them various periods time. On basis threshold-disturbance moving average autoregressive models there are elicited significant asymmetric reactions rate productivity positive macroeconomic shocks. For modelling behaviour economic activity developed a nonlinear logistic smooth transition model. In result econometric analysis received large estimated value slope parameter which characterizes smoothness transition.
