摘要: Exact quantum‐mechanical calculations of the transition probabilities for collinear collision an atom with a diatomic molecule are performed. The is treated as harmonic oscillator. A range interaction potentials from very hard to soft considered. It found that ``realistic'' approximate Jackson and Mott consistently high, even when low good results expected. In some cases double triple quantum jumps more important than single jumps. Comparisons made exact classical calculations. semiempirical formula given computing
