摘要: The finite element absolute nodal coordinate formulation is usedin this investigation to study the centrifugal stiffening effect onrotating two-dimensional beams. It demonstrated that geometricstiffening can be automatically accounted for in above mentionedfinite by using an expression elastic forcesobtained with a general continuum mechanics approach. Hill equation thatgoverns vibration of rotating beam obtained terms set ofgeneralized coordinates describe displacements and slopes.Under assumption small deformation, linearized,and complete solution used demonstrate analyticallythat such does not exhibit instabilities as angular velocityof increases. results elementprocedure are compared reported literature.
