摘要: We started a programme of donor blood reduction for open heart surgery in children 1983. At first, only meticulous surgical and perfusion techniques were used. Later, increased haemodilution was added. Miniaturisation the circuit introduction taken prior from patient further decreased requirements. In 1989, we used 0.89 l per compared to 3.2 tested pilot study on 30 undergoing Senning operation 1988. Priming volume reduced 661 +/- 72 ml 421 62 ml. 167 out 194 (86%) received clear prime. Ninety-seven 100 whose weight over 15 kg prime: 55 did not require subsequent transfusion. Prime miniaturisation autotransfusion can considerably reduce requirements surgery.
