摘要: Abstract The entomopathogenic fungus Beauveria bassiana is able to colonize and establish a symbiotic relationship with plants as an endophyte, naturally well through artificial inoculation. This study aims at implementing reliable efficient method endophytic B. in maize plants. level of the establishment was evaluated survival fecundity English grain aphid (Sitobion avenae) investigated. Eight-days-old were sprayed fungal spore suspension, while control treated only Tween solution. Two weeks after inoculation, seven clip cages per plant, each containing adult aphid, attached different leaves left for days. All inoculated contained confirmed by plating surface disinfected leaf pieces on selective plates. None showed growth bassiana. highest colonization levels 61% older 19% younger non-inoculated leaves. S. avenae reduced up 49% compared Dead aphids did not show any signs mycosis. number nymphs produced single 70% 74% leaves, respectively. Presence implies movement endophyte inside negative effect appears be systemic implied almost equal reduction mean numbers plants, irrespective
