摘要: The nutritional behaviour of a ‘Sterile Red Fungus’ (SRF) was studied with view to the development efficient field delivery systems for its use in plant growth promotion and disease protection. vegetative cells fungus are binucleate occasional presence trinucleate terminal cells. Responses 28 biochemical tests 19 different carbon sources were determined detect enzymatic activities preferred source utilization growth. Pectic enzyme patterns manganese oxidation/reduction abilities SRF also investigated. found have wide range activity. It produced cellulase, esterase, ligninase, peroxidase, acid phosphatase, phenoloxidase pectinase required thiamine (0·6 g l −1 ) With exception chitin, lactose, dulcitol -arabinose it utilized all tested. oxidized reduced isoenzyme pattern is characterized by distinct bands esterase polygalacturonase.
