摘要: Combined experimental and theoretical studies revealed the characteristic circular dichroism (CD) spectral profiles of mono- diazonia[6]helicenes, which were distinctly different from those reported for parent [6]helicene neutral (di)aza-analogues. Aza[6]helicenes showed bisignate Cotton effects (CEs) at 1Ba 1Bb bands, along with a weak CE 1Lb band, where signs former bands are responsible helical chirality helicenes while sign latter is susceptive to various factors such as electronic steric effects. Protonation monoaza[6]helicenes produces azonia[6]helicenes, showing dramatic changes in pattern two three positive, negative extremum series comparable magnitudes, dual protonation diaza[6]helicenes forming diazonia[6]helicenes led only nominal (slightly rotational strength excitation energy) pattern.
