摘要: Fire is a ubiquitous natural disturbance that affects 3-4% of the Earth's surface each year. It tool used by humans for land clearing and burning agricultural wastes. The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) do not explicitly mention fire, though many are affected beneficial adverse consequences fires on ecosystem services. There at least three compelling reasons to include fire perspective in implementation Goals. first reason relates stated vision 2030 Agenda protect environment. In order achieve environmental protection during sustainable development activities, it necessary understand plan effects disturbances, this case second produce emissions with regional global impacts air quality rainfall patterns. Fires contribute warming release greenhouse gases, primarily CO2, black carbon, identified as SLCP (short-lived climate pollutant). third one several complex processes lead degradation across globe. Opportunities exist incorporate into projects or approaches. Two examples highlighted here. Transdisciplinary communication collaboration needed address issues related use change.
