摘要: This study examines the relationship between coal consumption and economic growth for 25 OECD countries within a multivariate panel framework over period 1980–2005. The Larsson et al. (2001) cointegration test indicates there is long-run equilibrium real GDP, consumption, gross fixed capital formation, labor force. respective coefficients formation force are positive statistically significant whereas coefficient negative significant. results of vector error correction model reveal bidirectional causality in both short- long-run; however, short-run negative.
