摘要: The principle of gender equality forms a part the EU’s social policy and serves equally men women. So far, fourteen directives concerning have been adopted in EU, with New Equal Treatment Directive as latest one. EU has developed different models to promote equality: equal treatment, positive action most recently mainstreaming. treatment model is primarily concerned formal it unfortunately prevails ECJ’s rulings. Indeed, this paper argues that so ECJ not managed develop firm consistent case law on equality, nor stretch coherently It seems spite some progress promoting position women, taken step backwards its conservative judgments e.g. Cadman case.Overall, aims at summing up evaluating important cases equality.
