摘要: Abstract Enzymes have potential for use as therapeutic agents since they carry out complex chemical reactions under physiological conditions (Table 1). Many of these occur in normal, healthy organisms but are impaired a diseased or congenitally deficient state. An exogenously applied enzyme can confer upon an organism biological function which is not genetically present that organism. For instance, human who cannot metabolize phenylalanine could acquire the ability to do so if provided with hydroxylase. this approach, immobilized has many advantages over soluble enzyme. Developing uses enzymes therefore demands input from both clinicians and engineers.
