摘要: Brachytherapy (placement of radioactive material inside or close to tumors) is a very useful modality in the treatment unresectable liver tumors. Solitary limited number localized tumors can be treated with interstitial permanent 125I seeds, HDR brachytherapy, intraluminal 192Ir unresected tumor bed after surgical resection. Diffuse multiple primary metastatic palliated 90Y glass resin microsphere radioembolization. These benefits are more when radioembolization done early program combined appropriate chemotherapy. The role these therapies must investigated further controlled clinical trials integrate and quantify benefit other therapies.
