摘要: In Europe, agro-food biotechnologies arouse a lot of controversy. The scope issues debated during the past four decades their development has been extending rather than shrinking. And it looks as if many these have transferred to other new and emergent technologies. This paper considers adequacy Europe’s regulatory reaction – in way interprets uses precautionary principle respond issues. It argues that fundamental re-interpretation this is needed. should be re-linked guiding idea sustainable development. re-linking implies collective engagement, construction projections for future, continuous learning process responsible acting.
