摘要: This chapter provides an overview of applications and trends in benefit transfer for the United States. Benefit has been widely applied States several decades. Initially it was used to value recreation at public water resource projects on lands. Now is extensively benefit-cost analysis new environmental regulations, monetizing natural damages small oil spills. Groups that use transfer, once primarily federal agencies, have grown now include state consulting firms, non-governmental organizations. As underlying body information continues expand through primary research, methods are developed take advantage this growth information. become important valuation tool where expected continue future.
