摘要: The study examined the relation between frequency of penile–vaginal intercourse (FSI; contrasted with other sexual behavior) and alexithymia (difficulty recognizing, identifying, communicating emotions, reduced fantasy capacity, an externally oriented cognitive style). To minimize response bias, persons scoring above 86th percentile on Eysenck Personality Inventory Lie scale were excluded. Participants (54 female 39 male healthy young adults) completed German version Toronto Alexithymia Scale (TAS-20), provided both recall diary measures FSI, partner sex without vaginal intercourse, masturbation. For women, TAS-20 scores inversely associated FSI but not behavior. men, unrelated to all behavior measures. Thus, for normal women was specifically lower FSI. Results are discussed in terms unique nature emotional integration sexuality, less greater being indices better physical psychological health.
