摘要: In a case study the evolution of liquid water/ice content an isolated thunderstorm observed by C-band Doppler radar is investigated. To this end, 3D cloud resolving mesoscale model applied yielding microphysical development storm including its reflectivities. The numerical results are used to derive relations between reflectivity Z and mass L which are, on average, valid, one hand, for mixed-phase regions and, other those containing mostly precipitation particles. These two model-based Z/L-relations calculating contents storm. such obtained differ significantly from employing commonly Z/L-relations. water inside cell volume compared maximum available -pseudo-adiabatically determined - showing good agreement only undiluted core that cell. Finally, efficiency estimated resulting in upper bound about 60%.
