摘要: The aim in this study is to determine the nature of causal relationship, if any, between ‘social capital’, as measured by household membership formal and informal groups welfare South Africa. Using a recently collected panel data set Africa's largest province, we estimate per capita expenditure functions including measures social capital. After controlling for fixed effects simultaneity, find capital has no effect 1993 but positive significant 1998.
