摘要: This paper describes the structure of otter anal scent sacs. The deposited secretion contains apocrine gland protein and polymucosaccharide sebaceous lipid. Chemical analyses by gas-liquid chromatography acrylamide gel electrophoresis revealed individual differences in composition secretion. bands as were stable with time may be useful following movements wild otters field. A captive pair produced deposits a periodicity similar to that female oestrous cycle, both sexes producing around oestrus.
