摘要: Objective - To investigate and compare the influence of social cultural factors as access barriers to oral health care amongst people from various classes. Basic research design participants A cross sectional survey in Pimpri, was conducted using a pilot tested 15 item- structured, close-ended self-administered questionnaire. Two hundred fifty aged 35-45 years (50 each five classes per British Registrar’s General classification occupation) were selected. The chi-square test applied check statistical differences between at 5% level significance. Results Overall, it observed that irrespective class difference 88% wished seek only expert/professional advice for dental treatment. Unavailability services on Sunday (63%), going dentist when pain (57%), trying self or home remedy (54%), inadequate government policies (50%), budgetary constraints (40%) among major barriers.
