摘要: Vitellogenin (Vg) is a precursor of the major yolk protein, an essential nutrient for embryonic development oviparous animals including insects. Here, gene(CceVg [Corcyra cephalonica Vg] ) encoding Vg (CceVg moth, C. cephalonica, was cloned and sequenced. The gene sequence 6,721-bp long contained 5five introns six exons that together formed 5,382-bp open reading frame. deduced protein (CceVg) consisted 1,793 amino acid residues, 16-amino-acid signal peptide. putative molecular weight primary 202.46 kDa. CceVg all conserved domains motifs were commonly found in most insect Vgs except presence polyserine tract at C-terminal region, which had not been reported other lepidopteran Vgs. expression pattern showed first transcribed very low level early larval stage but disappeared later larva. In female, mRNA detected pupal throughout adult stage. Interestingly, only mated males levels, virgin ones. Injection double-stranded RNA into early-emergent females caused severely abnormal ovaries.
