摘要: Purpose To evaluate the safety, accuracy, and clinical use of image-guided biopsy results in an elderly (age ≥80 years) patient population. Materials Methods Image-guided 722 patients were obtained from our database over a 5-year period. This retrospective study data yielded 616 cases. The accuracy complication rates for population compared with remaining who younger than 80 years age ( n = 13,012). In addition, treatment was also evaluated against group randomly selected matched type location biopsy. Results both groups characterized by high rate (95% vs 96.5% others), but significantly higher nonelderly P .0247). did not carry greater any major complication. Use malignant (ie, initiating therapy) less common (58% underwent groups. aged 60–70 y, 100% initiated therapy; 70–80 95% therapy. Conclusions is safe accurate procedure. There no risk patients. Malignant diagnoses achieved resulted frequently initiation therapy malignancy.
