摘要: Bacterial mutagenicity tests, specifically the Salmonella and E. coli reverse mutation (Ames) test, are widely used usually required before a chemical, drug, pesticide, or food additive can be registered for use. The tests also environmental monitoring to detect mutagens in air water. Their use is based on showing that positive result test was highly predictive carcinogenesis. This chapter describes presents protocols their use, addresses data interpretation reporting.
