摘要: Abstract Combined forced and free flow in a vertical rectangular duct is investigated for laminar fully developed regime. The velocity field, the temperature friction factor Nusselt number are evaluated analytically by employing finite Fourier transforms. thermal boundary condition considered an axially uniform wall heat flux peripherally temperature, i.e. H1 condition. necessary sufficient onset of reversal determined either case upward cooled or downward heated duct. special convection, purely buoyancy-driven flow, discussed. occurrence effects pre-heating pre-cooling fluid analysed. It pointed out that although these occur ducts, they not present circular ducts parallel-plate channels.
