摘要: Abstract The World Color Survey (WCS) is a research project that was undertaken to validate, invalidate, or – most likely modify the main findings of Berlin and Kay (1969) (B&K): (1) there exist universal crosslinguistic constraints on color naming, (2) basic terminology systems tend develop in partially fixed order. To this end, WCS collected naming data from speakers 110 unwritten languages. have recently been compiled into unified archive, available online at http://www.icsi.berkeley.edu/wcs/data.html .
