摘要: To counteract the negative effects of intensive agriculture there is increasing interest in approaches that reconcile agricultural production with conservation and sustainable use biodiversity associated ecosystem services. Integration functional agrobiodiversity (FAB) systems holds promise to meet these challenging objectives, but requires generation, transfer implementation tailor-made knowledge, policy development. Currently various initiatives are undertaken across Europe develop assess potential biodiversity-based management practices by farmers, industry, researchers governmental non-governmental organizations. In this paper we show Convention on Biological Diversity planned reforms EU offer scope further implement FAB concepts via legislation for conservation, pesticide use, water quality, environmental protection genetic resources. At same time observe still impediments adoption approaches, including (i) translation general knowledge tailored, ready-to-use practices, (ii) limited information effectiveness measures terms crop yield profitability, reduction agrochemical inputs, (iii) lack appropriate financial accounting allow fair private investments public benefits, (iv) at right spatial scales, which coordination among actors a region. Current new may provide incentives address limitations contribute development integration Europe.
