Risk factors for vitamin D deficiency in women aged 20–50 years consulting in general practice: a cross-sectional study

摘要: AbstractObjective: Vitamin D deficiency is often unidentified, although treatment simple and inexpensive. Our objective was to estimate the influence of concealing clothes other risk factors for vitamin in women aged 20 50 years consulting general practitioners. Methods: 13 GPs Rhone Alps area planned recruit 300 (100 veiled 200 non-veiled) from January March 2008. Serum 25(OH)D PTH were measured one single laboratory (Biomnis®) by a radio-immunoassay method. A survey administered about dietary habits, sun exposure, quality life. Results: Among 247 enrolled, 196 analysed: 61 wearing (31.2%) 135 without (68.8%). As expected, serum level significantly lower covered (20.1 versus 38.9 nmol/l P < 0.001).
