摘要: The issue of urban resilience concerns a multitude systems and spaces. This thesis focuses on Urban River Corridors (URCs)—that is, spaces where the overlap between (carrying ’social-‘) river system ‘-ecological’) is at highest intensity—as strategic with potentially high contribution to resilience. general hypothesis that an integrated spatial understanding, planning design rivers fabric surrounding them, cities could become more resilient not just flood-related disturbances, but chronic stresses as well. Hence, addresses four problems arising from loss synergy natural dynamics configuration composition areas they cross: (1) river-taming operations combined riverside traffic corridors have weakened relationship fluvial geomorphology morphology, transforming into physical barriers; (2) flood-protection measures aiming for resistance water led latent flood risk; (3) capacity deliver ecosystem services has been diminished; (4) rationalisations reduced scalar, (and implicitly) social ecological complexity rivers.
