摘要: Using the prism of skin disease, this short letter examines overall impact that disfigurement can have on sufferers' lives. Often trivialised by health professionals and laypeople alike, common misconception disease is not 'serious' challenged. Looking in turn at psychosocial psychiatric co-morbidities, effects stigmatisation are examined as well coping strategies to which patients turn. By providing a brief overview factors must be considered clinic, worthiness adopting holistic approach one's emphasised.
