摘要: The measurement of areas under the concentration-time curve (AUC) was recently introduced as an alternative to trough level monitoring cyclosporine therapy. AUC is divided by oral dosing interval calculate average concentration. All measurements are performed at clinical steady state. initial evaluation showed advantages over with concentrations measured in serum polyclonal radioimmunoassay Sandoz. This assay technique no longer available and following assays were parallel during up 173 determinations 51 consecutive renal transplant patients: fluorescence polarization immunoassay Abbott serum, specific nonspecific monoclonal radioimmunoassays using 3H 125I tracers whole blood, high performance liquid chromatography blood. Both levels state those different techniques significantly correlated dose. best correlation (r2 = 0.54) shown blood Sandoz (3H tracer). also associated smallest absolute error between repeated observations same patient while dose rate remained or changed. allegedly (with tracer) higher than chromatography.
