摘要: The aqueous, dichloromethane, ethyl acetate and methanol extracts of dried aerial fruiting parts Centaurea bruguierana ssp. belangerana [1] were investigated for hypoglycemic activity hepatic glucose metabolism in streptozotocin/alloxan-induced diabetic rats. Experimental diabetes was induced by intravenous administration streptozotocin/alloxan (40 mg/kg each) confirmed with a 90-100% increase blood 72 hours later. administered single effective dose 200 dichloromethane aqueous 400 orally. Firstly, determined every 1 hour until 3 post the extracts. In second experiment, liver surgically removed treatment rats extracts, homogenized used measurement key enzymes glycogenolysis (glycogen phosphorylase, GP) gluconeogenesis (phosphoenolpyruvate carboxykinase, PEPCK). Treatment significantly showed decrease 41.7%, 55.0%, 45.7%, 29.5% 34.5% acetate, methanol, glibenclamide, respectively after hours. extract most potent PEPCK (84.0%) GP (134.5%), while glibenclamide 62.5% 133.0% activity, respectively. None any effect on insulin level. It is concluded that C. able to lower via stimulation inhibition gluconeogenesis.
