摘要: In machining of superalloys, a major quality performance characteristic refers to the integrity machined surface. this consideration, paper deals with comparative evaluation surface in dry, minimum quantity lubrication (MQL), and cryogenic turning Inconel 718. The comparison is concerned residual stresses, plastic work, microhardness developed under these different cooling conditions. stresses generated on workpiece were more tensile tangential (hoop) direction than axial direction. On other hand, larger compressive beneath observed We have clearly that resulted higher when compared dry or MQL machining. addition, yielded thicker zone material correlation between work suggested effects mechanical loads, thermal effects, minor. It was further shown highest hardness related lubrication. contrast variation, no drastic change microstructure observed. Moreover, significant thermally induced phase transformation layer established.
